European champions England take on nine-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nation winners Nigeria for a place in the quarter-finals of the Women’s World Cup. After unconvincing 1-0 wins in their first two games, England found their form to thrash China 6-1 on their way to topping their group.
Nigeria will be underdogs but are backing themselves to spring an upset after finishing second in a tough group by beating co-hosts Australia 3-2 and holding Olympic champions Canada to a draw.
