Ye postpones South African show as Yeezy LLC takes over production

American rapper and producer Kanye “Ye” West has postponed his highly anticipated Johannesburg concert, originally scheduled for 13 December, as the show expands into a larger national and international production.

Ye had been expected to perform at Ellis Park Stadium in what would have been his only South African show. However, organisers confirmed that the event is being restructured to accommodate a significantly bigger vision for the production.

In a major shake-up, the previous organisers, Monyake Group, have been removed from the project. Yeezy LLC will now lead the production, supported by Jay Carson & Co.

According to the updated announcement, the postponement “allows the production to expand into a much bigger vision, including the development of a nationally backed concert formally endorsed by the country.”

New dates, a revised venue, and full production details will be announced soon through Ye’s verified channels, as well as Yeezy LLC and Jay Carson & Co’s official platforms.
