Liberia: Sen. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, and Sen. Abraham Darius Dillon Pawns in Unity Party Game of Chicken

Buchanan– Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence has presented her official support statement for the aged (78) Unity Party (UP) Political Leader, despite deep internal conflict, diminishing popularity of Boakai in local voters’ pools, and the unresolvable snubbing of her VP candidacy.

Politically surprising to many Liberians, the Senator, who was recently in a comfortable and politically strong position presented her statement in the City of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, her hometown in the presence of Joseph N. Boakai and his Vice-Presidential Candidate pick Jeremiah Kpan Koung as a weak “show of Unity and force” for the 2023 general elections, said one AMEU Graduate School Professor.

The professor who chose to remain anonymous because of NEC position on campaigning for now and the University’s position of “active politics commentary” said that the official statement did not capture “tangible, persuasive reasoning” but was filled with “unresolved anger and retaliation” against Musa Hassan Bility.

In his analysis, he added that, if the “unresolved anger and retaliation” against Bility was the knife’s edge motivating factor for Senator Karnga-Lawrence’s shameful “sit on the ground endorsement” ( same as Sen. Dillon) of Boakai then it was nationally, deeply disappointing for the opposition to President Weah governing of the Country.

In attendance was her right-hand political general, Sen. Abraham Darius Dillon providing comfort and re-assurance that the “infamous decision” he has persuaded her to take ( Joseph N. Bioakai) is one of “courage and loyalty” but political analysts in Monrovia strongly believe that both Sen. Dillion and Karnga-Lawrence have once again shown their immature hands at understanding the political games of Liberia, disrespecting their place as competing political leaders and allowing themselves to become pawns in Unity Party (UP) game of chicken.

Analysts believe that the political statement by Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence automatically ended her and Sen. Dillon’s concrete “political autonomy”, a foothold in the door of “king-making” in Liberian politics and their favorability in the imagination of the Liberian voters.

Reports circulating in Monrovia indicate that immediately after the “endorsement statement” Sen. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence was listed to be expelled officially from Liberty Party (LP) and another stated that Sen. AB Dillion may be short-listed for expulsion by the LP Executive Committee.
