Happy New Year to all of the Live Africa News viewers, followers and subscribers! As we bid farewell to 2022 and look back on the events of the past year, it is undeniable that it has been a challenging and difficult time for many people around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on every aspect of our lives, from the way we work and socialize to the way we travel and celebrate.
2022 was a year like no other, with the COVID-19 pandemic causing global uncertainty and disruption on a scale that few could have imagined. The financial markets have been volatile, and many people around the world have faced economic challenges as a result of the pandemic. In addition to the pandemic, there have been other significant events and challenges that have shaped the world in 2022. The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia has caused geopolitical tensions to flare, and the increase in commodity prices has made it harder for people to make ends meet. Extreme poverty levels have risen in many parts of the world, and global democratic backsliding has now come to the forefront of governance agenda, which shows the level of concern in several countries.
On an appreciative note, the world is grateful to the front-line healthcare workers, the military, Law enforcement officers, fire men and women, and many others who have risked their lives to care for the sick, the general safety of the population and to the communities that have come together to support one another in times of need. The world have witnessed acts of kindness and compassion that have kept us going through even the toughest of times and we believe the human spirit can never be stop in this direction.
Let us remain intentional to work together to overcome the challenges we faced, and to build a brighter future. That despite these challenges, we will remain hopeful because we have seen moments of resilience, and strength for the future and we believe that 2023, a “Year of Resilience” can bring prosperity, peace and progress.
We encourage all of our viewers, followers and subscribers in America, Africa, Asia, South America and Europe to look ahead with a peaceful mindset, passionate optimism, determination, and to work together to create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.
